MIST will be opening at the end of May, with dj entertainment every Friday and Saturday afternoon and live bands at night. THE ROUNDHOUSE BAR The Roundhouse Bar (RHB) has had a long tradition of good music, good friends, and cold beer for over 135 years. In the early years, it was extremely inappropriate and taboo for a gentleman and a gentlewoman to enjoy a cold beverage with one another in the same bar. Always the trailblazer, The Roundhouse Bar eradicated this taboo once and for all and became the first drinking establishment on the island to allow men and women to share in a drinking camaraderie. VICTORY LANDING Victory Landing, in South Bass Island State Park, is the place to go if you're looking to escape the madness of downtown. Get breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks and enjoy the beautiful view from the deck of Lake Erie and sunbathers on the stone beach. The playground and swings will keep the kids occupied; there's also room for Frisbee, volleyball, softball, whatever. Jet ski rentals are nearby. VILLAGE BAKERY Even if you promise yourself that you'll only order a wrap or sandwich, you can't leave the Village Bakery without a cupcake, cookie or Danish (our personal favorites are the Palmier cookies that melt in your mouth!). Everything in the bakery is homemade from scratch and served fresh daily. In other words, it's absolutely unbeatable.
