Located next to Oak Point State Park about 1/2 mile west of the Boardwalk, you’ll find your next Put-in-Bay adventure waiting! Explore the island with Kayak The Bay on the water and take in all the beautiful Lake Erie sites. Points of interest include kayaking the limestone cliffs of Gibraltar Island and the Needle's Eye. Next, towering over the rocky cliffs and jutting out into the lake, is the famous Benson Ford shiphouse which has been featured on HGTV’s Most Unusual Homes. The unique home was made from the superstructure and deck of a salvaged ship and originally owned by Henry Ford's grandson.

A little nervous about your first kayak ride? Don’t be! Kayak The Bay has tutorial videos on their site so you will feel comfortable before you even arrive. Note that you will also receive some basic instructions before you head out on the water.
