CAN'T-MISS PUT IN BAY ATTRACTIONS

Get a lay for the land by visiting Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial. The memorial pays homage to Oliver Hazard Perry and his influence on the Battle of Lake Erie. When you visit the monument, you can get a bird's eye view of all the Lake Erie Islands and the United States/Canada border from the observation deck.  Note: the memorial is accessible via elevator. 

Another option for those who aren't afraid to fly is to take a Put-in-Bay a helicopter tour.  Head over to the Put-in-Bay airport and fly away!

The real island crowd pleaser is the Butterfly House, where children and adults alike can frolick amongst local and tropical butterflies in a fun yet romantic environment. The habitat is beautiful and doesn't disappoint—and don't forget to visit the gift shop for a memento of your island visit. 

For those a little more adventurous, don't miss Perry's Cave. Should you choose to venture to the undergrounds, you will find a hidden lake and awe-inspiring geographical formations. Can you take a vehicle to Put-in-Bay? 

The Miller Ferry allows passengers to bring a vehicle to Put-in-Bay.  It is the only ferry offer the additional service. Cars cost $18.00 to bring over and motorcycle tickets are $16.00 one way.

What are the "can't miss" events at Put-in-Bay?

Frankly, every weekend in Put-in-Bay there is at least one event happening. The most popular include the Pyrate Fest, Boaters' New Years, Historical Weekend, and of course the Official Original Put-in-Bay Spring Fling Customer Appreciation Party and its sister the Fall Ball party... both of which are hosted here at The Island Club.

Are golf carts allowed on Put-in-Bay?

Golf Carts are allowed on Put-in-Bay and are the preferred way to get around once on the island.  Island Club Rentals offer private golf cart rentals on site to guests staying at both the Put-in-Bay Condos and The Island Club.  

Is Put-in-Bay family-friendly?

The Island has a reputation for being a party place for adults only. Although the weekends bring in a more lively crowd, sunday through thursday is very family friendly.  During the week, Put-in-Bay is full of things to do for families to enjoy such as Perry's Cave, Perry's monument, The chocolate museum and much more!

Does the Island Club have a Taxi Service?

The Island Club has multiple taxi vans running 24/7 on Put-in-Bay.  Island Club taxis are the only taxis on the island allowed into the Island Club and Put-in-Bay Condos. Rides cost just $3 per person and the taxis will take you to and from anywhere on the island.

Fun Fact:

Did you know that the first ever co-ed swimming pool in the United States was at Put-in-Bay? The Victory Hotel was Put-in-Bay's first luxurious hotel that featured the country's first co-ed swimming pool, 625 guest rooms and 80 private baths.  Unfortunately, the building burned to the ground in 1919.  The remains of the foundation can still be found today at the South Bass Island State Park.
