"The house is perfect for a bachelor party. Things are not in the greatest condition but still nice enough for a bunch of guys. The House is just over a mile from the bars. Don't get golf carts just do cabs, save yourself a DUI (my group was safe). Check in/out was very simple. People in the office were very helpful. Get ALL of your supplies before going to the island! "

"It was really fun staying in a house! It was very spacious! The island lost power Friday night and a little Saturday morning but they fixed the issue quickly.

The only thing that wasn’t convenient was that the location of the home does not give good cell phone service to Verizon carriers.

Overall it was a great stay! If you are taking a large group, I would recommend it!

"A group of 40+ adults wanted a stay on the island at a place with relative privacy. That's exactly what this house is! The house was clean and pretty much as advertised. The only real complaint was that we got there after dark. The house is pushed back and completely unlit. Google Maps was not accurate as to the location of the house. " Had a great time, perfect place for what we were there for. Nothing really fancy but really only ate and slept there. Was concerned that the fire alarms were not connected. They stated they would leave toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. There were two rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels, and about 3 garbage bags . So bring extra supplies with you ,you will probably need them . We never did see any staff during our entire stay."

"We stayed Sunday night thru Thursday night the week of 4th of July. The house was great for us. Our 3 adult children came for part of the trip with friends. The location was good for us. Away from the downtown area but close enough to get there with the golf cart (which we highly recommend). The sliding glass doors were hard to open and close and the jacuzzi tub in the master bath did not work. We would also suggest that the gutters on the house be cleaned regularly. It rained very hard one day and the water poured over onto the patio areas and left standing water. The water could also leak under the siding and cause real damage. "

"Screwed up! I find the new personnel in the main office do not value there long time customers. They took it upon themselves to change the date of my trip by 1 week and then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong about the week I booked (which was 1 year in advance). We head for the same house in the island club every year, The 2nd Sunday of May which is Mothers day for a week of walleye fishing. We have done this for years and I was told we didn't. Then after 4-5 phone calls and adjustments I received a call from a person who was put out because I had not made my final payment which they didn't process on my card. "

"We really liked the house we stayed in. The only thing we found when we arrived wrong was the door on the cupboard in the small bathroom was off. Also when you took a shower or washed a dish the water is extremely hot. Even with these couple of things we would definatley stay again. It is far enough out of town that you can sit out and relax without all of the hustle and bustle but it is close enough to be in all of the excitement in a few minutes. The house is very secluded away from any young crowds."

"As we were traveling from Toronto in Vintage cars for an event in Put-in-Bay, we needed a spot where we could part our vehicles. Jerry worked this all out for us and provided us with the perfect accomodation for our group. The cottage was nice and clean and cool when we entered which was great as it was about 100 outside."

"Fantastic. Place was very clean and staff was outstanding. Only issues was with a couple maintenance items. The door was dragging on floor and oven broke. I reported both items. Staff said they new but nothing ever done. Everything else was well maintained. Staff was always right there to help. Be back next year!!!"

"the house is great...large enough to fit the 12 plus some. It is a tiny bit out of the way of the commotion and parties going on among the smaller island club houses but only about a block away. the place is pretty easy for everybody to find besides the late night pizza delivery people."

"The rental house was very nice. The inside was clean and comfortable. We were originally scheduled to stay in another property but we were "upgraded" when the air conditioning went out in the original unit. I am glad we were changed to another unit because I would have been disappointed with the original property. We did not like the area of the first unit. The properties looked old and not well cared for. The area was very crowded. As it was the unit we were "upgraded" to was more of what I had originally expected when I booked our stay. We did feel the general maintenance was lacking. The storm door was not connected by a stopper and swung ride open, causing my young grandson to fall out of the door.The regular door stuck to the floor as you opened it, rubbing an arc in the floor.We felt these conditions were a safety issue."

"A Place at the Bay is a beautiful home on PIB! Tucked back at the end of the street, we had privacy yet we were very close to the main roads leading into town. The home was very clean with many updated features and the beds were very comfortable. We had 10 adults and two children in our party and we had plenty of room for all! The employees of the management company were friendly and helpful. The only complaint I heard from our group was that the weekend went way to fast!! I would definitely recommend A Place at the Bay. "(1) Was the property description accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc? -- Location and layout were as advertised although the constant traffic at the nearby garage for upkeep of Island Club Rentals was distracting as was the traffic at the dump next to the driveway. Very basic amenities were present, but these items (which should not be considered extras) are needed: toilet paper placed in the bathrooms on holders (which were missing) including extra rolls, hand soap at all sinks, bath mats, towel hooks in bathrooms and bedrooms, hangers in the closets, reading lamps and clocks in all rooms, tea kettle, cookie sheets, corkscrew, smaller-sized drinking glasses, ice cube trays without holes in them, screens in doors and windows.
(2) Was the property clean and well-maintained. -- For the most part, yes.
(3) Did the owner or manager provide good customer service? -- Communication was fine.
(4) Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? -- Not unless we knew the property was better stocked.
(5) What activities, attractions and restaurants did you enjoy? -- This part was all good - Frosty's, The Boardwalk, Heinemanns, miniature golf, State Park's beach, narrated tour, lots of bike riding, Perry's Monument, hike at Black Swamp Conservancy, visits to the library, playgrounds."

"I set this reservation up for 9 family members, Island Club Rentals was very helpful setting it up and answering questions. Email confirmations, addt'l info emails were helpful also. House was a little hard to find, actually was across
from Island Club entrance on another street. Also rented golf cart through them, reasonably priced, but when we got to the house, cart keys were not in it, wasn't told we had to call to get them but people came within the hour to deliver them. Property was in good condition, location of house was off the beaten path which was nice except for the dirt/stone service road that ran alongside the house, vehicles going by. We enjoyed Perry's Monument, Butterfly house, Goat Restaurant was very nice, and we always make sure we go to DJs Ice Cream when we are on the island. Overall good venue for staying with a family in one house."

"The photos accurately show this home. However, it is in a nice cul de sac area next to the golf course. There are no street names, you will need a map to find it. The home was so large that our family of 7 did not even use half of it. Cleaning crew does an excellent job and the people prior to us were having a bachelor party, we arrived early and saw the condition. It was clean a few hours later at checkin time. Items needed: toilet paper,golf clubs. You should rent a golf cart to get around."

"Close to the Miller ferry which made coming and going easier. House was clean, the outside patio had cigarette butts left from previous stay, but that was it!

The taxi service was great! Was given a lot of cards and able to get rides whenever needed!"

"I have stayed at the Island Club for 10 years now. We usually get the same unit (113), but this past year got this one, which is across the street from the main loops. As with our regular unit, we LOVED it! Very comfortable, plenty of room for groups, easy access (walking distance) to pool, access to main road/cabs, etc. Wouldn't stay anywhere else while visiting Put In Bay, and the management folks are AMAZING! Highly recommend!!!"

"Once again island club did an amazing job! The house was fantastic. Plenty of space for 12 women. Across the street from the best party around, Spring Fling! The house was close enough to hop over to the party but far enough away that noise wasn't an issue. I hope that island club does not plan to sell this house! We look forward to staying at A Place at the Bay for the 2015 Spring Fling."

"This place was in the prefect location for Fall Ball. The place was clean and very put together. There was a lot of places for sleeping arrangements and plenty of pillows. I would recommend gutters with the amount of rain we had. I would definitely stay here again!"

"It is hard to rate this rental for one reason. We were there as a family (my husband, 7 yo, 5 yo, 10 month old, and I). So I rated this for OUR particular stay but it may be viewed differently if you go with several couples or for a guys or girls party weekend.
With that being said.
The pros: Place is BIG - a lot of room. The home floor was clean to naked eye, sinks/tubs/showers/kitchen were very clean, There was toilet paper and paper towels (someone mentioned there wasn't any). Mattresses on beds seemed brand new (and very comfy).
Cons: Since my 10 month old was crawling on the floor it was obvious the tile floors needed more then just mopped and the carpets needed washed (maybe it was the fact we were there end of season???). Shelves needed dusted badly. The back 2 bedrooms smelled a bit musty. No screens on windows to allow fresh air in - though there is a water treatment plant next door (can't see) and no we didn't smell it! Needs some additional kitchenware (cutting board, mix bowls, NEW coffee pot (took an hour to brew!!! UGH), Kitchen draw fell apart.
There were a couple other things that irked us but it is what it is. A rental on put-n-bay to party in."

"This was a nice size house for the size of group we had staying. Knew that we had to bring our own sheets and towels, but didnt think that would also include TP, hand soap, etc.

Dont forget your TP, napkins, additional paper towls, hand/kitchen towels and hand soap.

The directions/GPS make you think this is off the Put-in-Bay Road but it is not it is down the court and the house doesnt face the way it looks in the picture...you only see the end of the house. Also, it is not the house on the corner (that is a private res.) it is on the left on the curve.

Also, your drive way is a road so dont park too far out in the drive way...that is very weird to see people drive by all the time.

2 vehicles include 2 cars/trucks and not a golf cart if you get one.

There is a plant of some sort that causes a bit of consistent noice for those who have sensitive hearing or like to keep the windows open/cracked so it might be bothersome. There was also some smell that wafted over often from either that plant or something else."

"Overall, the place was nice - good space and nice setting. BUT, I was quite disappointed with the lack of amenities that should come with a place that is $2500 for 2 nights. Simple things like:
- Dishwashing liquid for the dishwasher
- Coffee filters for the coffee maker
- More trashbags to properly take out the trash
- Handsoap for the bathrooms
- Linens would be nice

It was just unfortunately that we had to take so many trips into town for these items which would simply cost $20 total.

"The entrance had a piece of wood over mud, so we tracked mud in & some previous tenanats items were found behind and under furniture. Also the bathrooms could've been a little cleaner, ie dirt in tub, mirrors splashed. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks!"

Floors were dirty (we had to mop the kitchen floor on the first night), patio door did not lock, jacuzzi tub did not work,no working smoke alarms in house - they were all disconnected,hot and cold linse are connected backwards on the washing machine and only 3 rolls of toilet papaer were provided in the house for 8 guests."
